Project Methodology
With over a decade of web experience under our belts, the Bean Team follows a proven development process:

Step 1: Communication
The key to all our projects is communication. Our marketing and promotional background means that we start every project by getting inside our client's head to understand how they do business and how they want their clients to interact with them. Use-cases, audience demographics and content audits are all standard components of Bean Creative's web development process to ensure we meet and exceed our clients' goals.

Step 2: Organization and Design
Great design and content don't mean a thing if your users can't figure out how to find what they're looking for.

Our user architects map the key site areas and work on developing site structure and logical organization to maximize your goals and focus on your priorities.

Once the architecture is agreed upon, we document our approach using detailed user interface wireframes, dataflow documents and walkthrough schematics.

When everything is set, we develop several initial designs that incorporate the site goals, branding and tone. We also take great care to integrate our clients' existing branding components so the website becomes a seamless piece of the overall communications strategy.

Because we've taken the time to know exactly what they want and need, our clients almost always choose one of the initial designs presented, usually with only minor modifications.

Step 3: Web Development and Programming
Once the design is completed, we dive into site development — from writing/editing text and creating multimedia content, to building databases, setting up content management systems or programming rich functionality. Along the way, beta testers have plenty of opportunities to demo the site and provide us with valuable feedback.

Step 4: Test, Test, Test!
Bean Creative has developed an extensive testing area that features a broad range of PCs and Macs to mirror the real-world - with different browsers, processing speeds, operating systems, monitor sizes and connection speeds including the lowly modem. We also incorporate best practices for 508 compliance and accessibility, ensuring that users of all shapes and sizes will have an optimal experience on your site.

After a final round of extensive quality control and testing, you're ready to go live.

Typically, most projects require from 12 to 16 weeks.
